a new camping destination in the heart of central Sweden, designed for travellers who want to combine simplicity with comfort, nature and adventure in one place. Nestled among numerous small and larger lakes and surrounded by lush deciduous and pine forests, this small, family-run campsite offers a peaceful retreat with both modern and traditional amenities for families, couples and solo travellers alike. The entire area covers 10,000 m² and offers a total of 15 pitches for motorhomes, caravans and tents across 2 separate areas, 10 of which are equipped with direct electricity connections. In the future, additional indoor and outdoor accommodation as well as wellness facilities are planned for guests who, whether spontaneously or in advance, prefer a little more comfort (1 cosy holiday cottage, guest lounge area, 3 low-cost rooms in the guest lounge, 1 spacious caravan and 1 tree canopy tent). Each of these accommodations will be equipped with beds, a kitchenette or a terrace for evening relaxation. A range of facilities is available to make every stay as pleasant as possible: a modern sanitary building in log-cabin style with toilets, hot showers and dishwashing facilities. In addition, the guest lounge is intended to offer guests washing and drying machines as well as shelter during possible periods of bad weather, with seating areas for relaxing. Enjoy free Wi-Fi on the sun terrace with a cup of coffee or take a look at the Svensk Loppis. For younger guests there is an adventure playground, where little ones can be kept in view from almost anywhere. Culinary delights and various social activities are also a major focus at CIS Dalarna. The small farm shop with fresh bread and rolls (on order), homemade products, freshly harvested salad, herbs and fruit from the garden, as well as snacks, everyday essentials and souvenirs, offers a warm welcome. On summer evenings, music and themed events create a warm, communal atmosphere. For nature and adventure lovers there are barbecue areas, fire pits, a smoker for freshly caught fish, bicycle rental, or the opportunity to use a private off-roader in the in-house off-road park. Extended services are also available, such as massages (physiotherapist), off-road tours, fishing trips, events and activities at the camp, breakfast and shopping service, barbecue and tent rental, and much more. The Location of the Camp

makes it the ideal starting point for discovering the most beautiful natural and cultural attractions in central Sweden. Just a short drive from the campsite (approx. 8 km) there are 2–3 sandy beaches inviting for swimming and sunbathing. The surrounding forest offers both marked and unmarked trails for hiking, cycling and berry picking – especially popular in late summer – and in winter numerous opportunities for activities such as the nearby ski slope, ice skating, ice fishing or snowmobile tours in the adjacent forest. Day trips are easy to organize. In less than 10 minutes by car, or even on foot, the center of the local community can be reached – with restaurants, cafés, two supermarkets, a gas station, a pharmacy, traditional craft shops, several historical museums and mines, as well as a train station. Further excursion destinations, such as an open-air museum, the historic UNESCO World Heritage mine in Falun, impressive mining landscapes, adventure mines, rafting offers and much more, can be reached within about an hour by car. Within just three hours by car there is a wide selection of vibrant cities with shopping streets, nightlife and cultural events. The production site of the traditional Dala horse “Dalahäst” as well as the factory in Mora where the popular Mora knife is made are also within reach. Nature lovers can explore the many impressive nearby national parks with their waterfalls, fish in crystal-clear lakes or join guided wildlife safaris where moose and beavers are frequently spotted. Important & good to know

To make the most of a holiday at CIS Dalarna Camp, a few practical details are worth knowing. The campsite is open all year round, with July, August and September being the busiest months. Early booking is recommended, especially when a preferred pitch or one of the popular accommodations is desired.

• Children under 5 years stay free of charge.
• Arrival leads right through the forest via a 1.7 km gravel access road (climbing to approx. 480 m altitude) with right of way directly to the site.
• Check-in is from 13:00–19:00 (or by arrangement), and check-out is by 11:00. Please note the reception opening hours for individual departure arrangements.
• There is no latrine emptying service for chemical toilets.
• Quiet hours are from 23:00 to 7:00 to ensure a peaceful environment for all guests. Exceptions apply to themed evenings or similar events on the grounds.
• Pets are very welcome but must be kept on a leash on the grounds, and waste must be disposed of in the designated disposal unit. Failure to comply may result in expulsion from the site or a service charge of 100.00 SEK.
• The climate in this part of Sweden offers warm, sunny days in summer, while evenings can be cool – it is therefore advisable to pack several layers and not forget swimwear and a light jacket.
• The farm shop at the campsite offers a minimal basic supply of various food items, but for larger purchases the nearest supermarket is less than 10 minutes away.
• Campfires are only permitted in designated areas and in accordance with fire safety regulations; firewood is available at reception.
• Those arriving without a car have access to public transport in the nearest town, and transfers can be arranged on request.
